About me
Born and raised in the beautiful Dutch region ‘Maas & Waal’, located between the rivers the ‘Maas’ and ‘the Waal’.
My interest in photography was passed on to me, by my father. My father was ‘born with a ring spanner in his hand’; a real qualified mechanic with a big interest in auto- and motorsport, the VW Beetle and photography.
Whenever I heard, as a small boy, the words, Zandvoort, cross, sidecar cross, Assen, Baarlo, speedway, de Reek and amongst others Gendt, I already sat in the car, packed & ready to go :-)
At these events, I collected the empty drink bottles, which people threw away. I returned them to the seller, to get the deposit back. From these deposits, I bought my first film rolls - and that’s where it all started: the passion for photography, with gasoline already running in my blood.
I started my career in engineering before moving into logistics, where I built up 18 years of experience as a supply chain manager and planner across multiple industries — including production, event and entertainment logistics and customs (clearance) operations.
Over time, I made the transition into running my own company focused on photography and web development. In recent years, I’ve also returned to my technical background through several engineering projects.
Photography has brought me into many different environments, but auto- and motorsport has always been part of who I am — shaped from a young age by my father’s passion for auto- and motorsport and engineering. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to photograph several high-level racing classes, and being actively involved at the highest levels for a number of years is still something that holds a place on my bucket list.
Besides photography, I remain open to opportunities within logistics or engineering where I can apply my experience, practical mindset and broad background to add value to a team or company.
